Because this is a Community based Marketplace all transactions, unless otherwise specified, are made between Catalyst users. This means that when you purchase a Product you are purchasing it directly from the "Author" of that Product, not from Catalyst or Cobalt Apps, LLC, the company behind Catalyst.

This also means that it is the responsibility of the Product Author to provide you with that Product and any necessary support and/or resources. Think "Farmers Market". We provide the venue, but it's the Community that provides everything else.

Having said all of this, we go to great lengths to make sure that anything made available through this Marketplace and any Contributor who Author's these Products, are top notch. We are also committed to ensuring the satisfaction of our Community as we back all CatalystTheme.com and Catalyst Marketplace purchases with our dedicated support.

The Catalyst Marketplace was created to provide our amazing Community with a venue to buy, sell and share their Catalyst creations.  And with no cost for submissions and 100% profit returns, there is nothing to lose and everything to gain!

How It Works

First and foremost, there are two basic requirements for those to become Catalyst Marketplace Contributors.

  1. You must own the Developer Edition of Catalyst (if you own the Personal Edition you can always upgrade).
  2. You must own Catalyst for at least 30 days.

Once approved as a “Catalyst Marketplace Contributor” you will be given a Contributor Account and you will be able to submit your own Catalyst creations for approval.  Once approved we will publish these submissions making them live and available to others in our community.

The great thing about the Catalyst Marketplace is that there are no fees of any kind!  So you can submit your creations for free and when you make a sale of a Premium item you will receive 100% of the profits!

Another benefit to being a Marketplace Contributor is exposure.  When you become a Contributor you will have your own “Author” page where you can promote yourself, your business and your websites.

What Type of Products Are Available

At this point we can’t say for sure what every product will be, but most likely things like:

  • Dynamik Skins
  • Catalyst Child Themes
  • WordPress/Catalyst Plugins
  • Graphics/PSDs
  • etc…

Basically, if it’s related to Catalyst and will benefit our Community then we’ll most likely make it available in the Marketplace.

Catalyst Forum Integration

The Catalyst Forum will play a huge role in the support and distribution of Catalyst Marketplace products.  Each product will have it’s own thread in the Forum where the “Author” of such products will be responsible for providing relevant information, download links (if the product is Free) and support.
